Blood vessels within the lining of the nose are fragile and can easily be made to bleed. Nosebleeds are common, with about 60% of people experiencing at least one nosebleed in their lifetime. Most of the time, however, the bleeding tends to only last a little while and is usually easy to control. Nosebleeds are most commonly caused by dry air.
